Description **Please apply here and reach Jennifer Fukumae on LinkedIn for prompt consideration!** Job Posting: Senior Accountant Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Palo Alto; Hybrid 2 days in office (2nd day half day in office) Salary: $90-125k base + 15-20% + Fully Paid We are partnering with a leading venture capital firm specializing in early-stage technology investments. Based in Palo Alto, this firm manages $1B in assets and is currently investing from its fifth fund. Their mission is to support U.S. entrepreneurs by providing strategic value through deep industry insights and strong connections with key partners across Asia. Responsibilities: + Maintain general ledger for Funds, including day-to-day cash and non-cash transactions (purchase of investments, conversions, accruals, expenses, capital calls, distributions, change in investment valuations, and exit transactions). + Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations. + Process wires for investments and Fund expenses. + Perform quarterly close of the books for Funds, including all financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Partners Capital, Cash Flows, SOI). + Prepare quarter and year-to-date individual partners' capital allocations. + Process capital calls, including allocation calculations and cash receipt tracking. + Process both cash and stock distributions, including detailed distribution calculations. + Track investment data and documentation for all investments. + Complete quarterly tie out to cap tables. + Update and maintain LP records; record and perform calculations for LP interest transfers. + Answer LP inquiries and respond to confirmation requests. + Electronically distribute financial statements, partners' capital statements, K-1s, capital call and distribution notices to LPs. + Other ad hoc responsibilities as appropriate for the position.
