This Registered Nurse position in a Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) requires a minimum of three years of experience and involves providing care for infants born at 23-24 weeks gestation. Floating to other units, including the Special Care Nursery (SCN) and Pediatrics, may be required.

Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care to infants in a Level III/IV NICU.
- Administering medications and blood products.
- Managing ventilators (CPAP/BiPAP, High Frequency Vents, Oscillators).
- Performing procedures such as cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming, and managing feeding tubes and PICC/central lines.
- Assisting with high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries.
- Monitoring vital signs, assessing patient status, and documenting care.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Floating to other units (SCN, Pediatrics) as needed, focusing on infant care.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of three years of NICU experience.
- Proficiency in managing various types of ventilators.
- Experience with administering medications, blood products, and performing procedures listed above.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to float to other units.
- Active compact license honored by Swedish facilities.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Special Considerations:
- Minimum three-month separation from any Providence affiliated facility for travel positions.
- Floating to other campuses is required.
- No ECMO experience required.
- Primarily cares for infants; rarely floats to pediatrics (infants only if floated).
- 77-bed NICU with an average census of 50.
