Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced part time Bookkeeper to join our team in Fresno, California. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, handling day-to-day accounting tasks, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential. Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions. - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely payments and collections. - Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies. - Utilize QuickBooks software to record and monitor financial data effectively. - Process and track general ledger entries to support accurate reporting. - Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. - Analyze and resolve any accounting discrepancies or irregularities. - Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and ensure compliance. - Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support. - Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure best practices. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting with a focus on detail-oriented tasks. - Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software. - Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies. - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. - Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
