Job Description

The Pittsburgh Steelers are seeking a full-time Video Editor/Producer to join the Content team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience editing and producing a wide array of original programming, including, but not limited to, long and short form content for major sports and/or entertainment brands across various media platforms. This position will provide creative input and execution throughout the production process, for multiple and diverse projects, and do so, simultaneously. This position is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is skilled, professional, and an accomplished editor/producer. This person is also a creative storyteller, always seeking to infuse innovative new approaches to their work.

The ideal candidate will be creative and self-motivated, and will possess extensive experience in all aspects of video production with a focus on video editing and writing.

This content position will work alongside other members of the Content team, as well as collaborate with other key departments, including Corporate Sales, Marketing, Community Relations, Public Relations, among many others.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce short and long-form content, including, but not limited to, features, interviews, sponsored content, trailers, teases, promos, and commercials on a year-round basis.
  • Under the guidance of the Executive Producer, develop multiple projects simultaneously - from concept to completion.
  • Work with internal and external parties on branded content development, which could include those with limited production knowledge, with the goal of producing a high-end end product.
  • Write and edit scripts
  • Collaborate with a talented crew of producers, editors, cinematographers, motion graphics designers and other content creators on projects, emphasizing innovative thinking and strategic risk-taking.
  • Pitch new concepts to the Executive Producer, video team as well as the greater Content team.
  • Shoot interviews and/or events, as assigned

Qualifications Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience as a Editor/Producer for a major sports team or major media brand
  • Demonstrable, relevant experience creating and producing compelling programming of various genres, formats and lengths, for all media platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in all facets of production processes, including the Adobe Creative Suite, required.
  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and carry on a continuous basis, ability to walk, stand for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed.
  • Experience in a sports environment is preferred.
