Job Description
The Fleet Tracking and Telematics team is looking for a software development engineer who can supplement our team.
This role will be responsible for developing Kotlin/Java applications that will be deployed to the AWS cloud.
Understanding of AWS cloud services is preferred but not required.
You will be working alongside product managers, software engineers and hardware engineers on the team.
Primary responsibilities will be designing, developing, debugging, reviewing and testing cloud services.
They must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and are able to work independently.
Preferred coding skills: Java/Kotlin or Typescript. Other desired technical skills include CDK, MQTT and AWS cloud services.
A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
Candidate Requirements:
Basic qualifications -
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
