MINIMUM 6 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE IN MOLD REMEDIATION

Connect Staffing is seeking a hard-working Mold Remediation Technician for a restoration company in the city of Irvine, CA.

Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM-3 PM * This assignment is expected to be a few weeks long* 

Requirements of a Mold Remediation Tech:

• Minimum 6 months of experience in mold remediation
• Must have a valid Driver's License and a Clean DMV record
• Must speak English or be Bilingual
• Experience working with residential customers and providing quality customer service.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Prior experience in roles such as Construction Laborer, Drywall Installer, Flooring Installer, Demolition Laborer, Painter, General Laborer, Finish Carpenter, Tile Setter, Interior Painter, or Drywall Finisher is a big plus!

Responsibilities of a Mold Remediation Tech:   

• Prepare and secure the work area by setting up containment barriers, negative air pressure systems, and decontamination units to prevent the spread of asbestos fibers.
• Don and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, protective suits, and gloves, to ensure compliance with strict safety protocols set by OSHA and the EPA.
• Safely remove, encapsulate, and transport asbestos-containing materials from various structures, following federal, state, and local regulations.
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as vacuums with HEPA filters, negative air machines, and air scrubbers to clean the work area and monitor air quality.
• Perform thorough cleanup and decontamination of the work zone, tools, and equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
• Document the entire abatement process, including detailed records of work performed, materials removed, air sampling results, and waste disposal manifests.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with supervisors and clients, explaining the abatement process, timelines, and safety measures.
• Dispose of asbestos waste properly by sealing materials in approved bags or containers and transporting them to a licensed disposal site.
