QA Tester (Entry Level)
JOB SUMMARY: The QA Tester (Entry Level) position is focused on manual testing of software applications. This role will work closely with the IT team to ensure that software meets defined requirements and is free of defects. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in software testing and gain hands-on experience in a structured SDLC environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the execution of manual test cases for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Document and maintain test plans, test cases, and test results based on project requirements.
Validate new software functionality against defined acceptance criteria.
Log, track, and retest defects using Jira or similar issue tracking systems.
Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not affected by code changes.
Work collaboratively with developers and business analysts to ensure a common understanding of requirements and expected behavior.
Help identify potential quality issues early in the development cycle and escalate them appropriately.
Help troubleshoot/replicate errors in production environment.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Basic understanding of software development and QA concepts.
Familiarity with manual testing processes; formal QA experience is a plus but not required.
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Jira or similar tools is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work in an office setting and occasionally a warehouse setting.
