Job Summary

W e are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse/Plant Operator to support daily operations at our Nashville facility. This is a hands-on, onsite role involving the handling and processing of gas cylinders. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience and be comfortable working in a physical, fast-paced environment.

Job Description

• Operate a forklift to load/unload compressed gas and liquid cylinders
• Inspect, sort, and palletize cylinders for refill or processing
• Examine returned cylinders for defects or damage
• Clean cylinders and prepare them for refilling
• Connect and disconnect cylinders from exhaust and filling systems
• Test filled cylinders for leaks and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Weigh and record cylinder contents
• Attach proper labeling and safety caps
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Replace safety valves and damaged labels
• Perform painting and general maintenance as needed
• Sweep work areas and replace pallet straps

Skills Required

• 2–5 years of relevant experience or equivalent training
• Forklift operation experience required
• Basic understanding of compressed gases and/or welding is a plus
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Able to read and interpret safety documents and operating instructions
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
• Problem-solving skills for non-routine tasks
• Strong communication for small group interactions and reporting

Education

• Highschool diploma or GED

Additional Requirements

• S h ift: 7:30AM - 4PM 
• Regularly lift up to 60 lbs; move 125+ lbs with equipment
• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and use hands/arms
• Exposure to moderate noise and occasional outdoor weather conditions
