Restaurant Yuu, a Michelin-starred French restaurant located in Greenpoint, is seeking a dedicated and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparing and executing high-quality desserts and pastry components for tasting menus
Developing seasonal dessert concepts that align with the restaurant’s culinary philosophy
Producing breads, pastries, and plated desserts with precision and consistency
Managing mise en place, ordering, and inventory control for the pastry section
Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards in the pastry kitchen
Collaborating closely with the head chef and kitchen team to deliver a cohesive dining experience
Upholding culinary excellence consistent with Michelin-starred standards
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Cook in fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurants
Strong foundational skills in French pastry techniques
Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a high-pressure, service-driven environment
Passion for craftsmanship, seasonality, and continuous improvement
Team-oriented mindset with professionalism and respect for colleagues
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Formal pastry education or international experience is a plus, but not required if equivalent professional experience is demonstrated.

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, excluding restaurant holidays and designated closure days
