Position Summary:

Join the UK Dining team to support health and wellness initiatives across UK ’s campus. As a Nutrition Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Registered Dietitian to promote evidence - based nutrition education, outreach, and engagement. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to gain experience across multiple dietetics concentrations, including community nutrition, foodservice, wellness promotion, and sports nut rition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design research-based educational materials using Canva for social media platforms

• Plan and schedule semester-long social media content, including captions and post timing

• Assist in Health & Wellness pop-ups

• Assist in developing health & wellness promotional items (e.g., t-shirts, giveaways)

• Create and deliver nutrition presentations to student groups and campus organizations

• Provide accurate, evidence-based nutrition information to Greek life, athletics, and the general student body

• Develop and perform cooking demonstrations tailored to college students, shared in-person and/or on socialmedia

• Collaborate with marketing on projects, campaigns, and content creation

• Contribute to the planning and execution of UK Dining nutrition events

• Conduct research to support campus dietitians in food, nutrition, and health & wellness

• Other duties as assigned to support the goals of UK Dining

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Dietetics

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Comfortable presenting to small and large groups

• Flexible schedule availability

• Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to lear

Preferred Qualities or Skills:

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Positive, professional attitude

• Motivation to step outside your comfort zone and take on new challenges

• Interest in health promotion, nutrition education, and campus engagement
