Part-Time Medical Courier
Rocky Mountain Laboratories – Tempe, AZ

Position
This part-time courier role supports the safe and timely transport of medical specimens and supplies in the Tempe, AZ area. Couriers use a company vehicle and are expected to handle deliveries with care, follow protocols, and provide excellent customer service.

Available Schedule: Monday–Wednesday, approx. 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Tentative Start Date:
September 2025 or as soon as we find the right fit

Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver medical specimens and supplies on schedule
• Prioritize specimen integrity and time-sensitive deliveries
• Communicate with dispatch and clinic staff to coordinate pickups and troubleshoot issues
• Use routing software or GPS and update delivery logs in real-time
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and organize supply inventory
• Ensure proper storage conditions for temperature-sensitive specimens (e.g., ice packs, biohazard bags)
• Complete and submit required documentation accurately
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and DOT guidelines
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report maintenance needs
• Represent the company professionally and courteously
• Assist with training new couriers in the area as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• At least 2 years of driving experience
• Active smartphone with data plan
• Comfortable driving at night and in various weather conditions
• Familiarity with navigation tools (GPS, route apps)
• Detail-oriented, dependable, organized, and punctual
• Personal liability auto insurance (required for eligibility to drive a company vehicle)
• Ability to lift 25–30 lbs and frequently get in/out of the vehicle
• Time zone awareness is essential, especially as Arizona does not observe daylight saving time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous courier, delivery, or logistics experience
• Familiarity with medical or clinical specimen transport
• Experience driving during night hours
• Good communication skills and comfort using mobile apps/software
• Knowledge of the Tempe, Mesa, and Phoenix metro area
• Availability for occasional route coverage or holiday shifts

Location:
Tempe, AZ and surrounding areas

Pay:

• $18.00/hour
• Eligible for an 8% differential for hours worked between 8:00 PM and 4:00 AM and on weekends
• Discretionary Monthly Bonus Incentive of up to 10% of pay based on performance and merit
• Weekly pay (Fridays)
