Job Description
We are looking for a Jr Underwriter / LO Support team member to assist our loan officers in preparing loans for submission. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and enjoys supporting the team in a high-energy and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist loan officers with guideline questions and loan scenario clarifications.
- Assist loan officers with calculating borrower income and preparing necessary documentation.
- Support loan officers in preparing loans for submission.
- Maintain organized, accurate records and notes in our systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth loan processing.
- Cross-train in other areas of the loan process as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior underwriting and/or Loan Officer Assistant experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology and learning new software systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
