Job Description Summary - Install Technician

The primary function and responsibility of Install Technician is to ensure the successful planning and execution of projects assigned to him by his Project Manager or Install Manager. Listed below is an overview of responsibilities included in this position.This position will require you to work with the Project Manager or Install Manager to ensure the overall success of the Project and to execute the planned deliverables on time in a professional and workmanlike manner.

Responsibilities

• Project and task review with Project Manager or Install Manager at every stage of the project.

• Maintaining open communication with Project Manager or Install Manager throughout the project.Some communications may be needed with the client and /or contractor representative.

• Proactive communication with the Project Manager or Install Manager if additional field resources are required

• Timely completion of materials request to ensure consistent, efficient production

• Assemble, build, and test systems at office prior to delivery to client, working closely with Project Manager or Install Manager directives

• Work with the team to keep warehouses and company property safe, organized, and clean.

• Work with the team on inventory levels, product tracking, shipping, and receiving.

• Accurate and current project redlines documented

• Accurate field notes taken and provided to Project Manager, including information obtained while in the field from the contractor and/or homeowner

• Understand and adhere to all Washington state WAC/NEC and Land I Safety Standards

• Keep current a valid Washington State Journeyman Electrical (LV) card

• Keep current a valid Washington State Driver's License and Insurance

• Attend continuing educational seminars, classes, and paid company sponsored training courses

• Work in a lead supervisory position, directing field staff with daily tasks and reviewing their work.

• Work to build a great team atmosphere, offering solutions and best practices in the lead role.

• May be requested to travel out-of-state at times with provided per-diem and travel accommodations.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License

• Valid Low-Voltage Limited Energy (EL06) Certification for Washington State

• Experience with installing security, lighting, distributed audio, distributed video, motorized shades, and control systems

• 5-years+ relevant work experience
