Job Title : HR Support Specialist

Company and Location: Nielsen Eye Center, Quincy, MA

Employment Type : Part-Time (25 hours/week)

Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking for a part-time opportunity (25 hours per week) and is willing to be in the office 5 days per week during business hours (Monday to Friday). The role may also require occasional visits to satellite offices, with a monthly visit to our Norwood location.

The HR Support Specialist will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including general HR administration, employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, employee record keeping and HRIS data management. The ideal candidate will have 3-4+ years of experience in HR and a passion for supporting employees and fostering a positive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • General HR Administration : Provide administrative support for various HR functions, including managing employee information, benefits administration, annual HR initiatives and compliance with labor laws.
  • Employee Relations : Serve as a point of contact for employees with HR-related questions and concerns. Assist with resolving employee issues and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Onboarding : Lead the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing necessary documents, conducting orientation, and providing an introduction to company culture.
  • Offboarding : Manage the offboarding process for employees who leave the organization, ensuring smooth transitions, conducting exit interviews, and processing necessary documentation.
  • HRIS Management : Maintain and update HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Satellite Office Visits : Spend time in the satellite offices to familiarize yourself with the staff and operations. Occasional visits to the Norwood office, approximately monthly.


Requirements :

  • 3-4+ years of experience in human resources or HR support roles.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and basic HR functions (onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, benefits, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to visit satellite offices, with monthly visits to Norwood.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
