Position Summary:

We are hiring a full time Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) to join our interdisciplinary team at Vida Guidance Center in the Bronx, NY. Vida is an Article-31 Mental Health Center serving families in the community. As an LCAT Therapist at Vida, you will conduct individual and group psychotherapy with adults and/or children and families. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Creative Arts Therapy required.  
  • NYS Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based modalities.
  • 2+ years of previous experience in a mental health clinic, hospital, behavioral health, or similar setting required.  

 

Key Duties:

  • Completes documentation in accordance with OMH regulations. Monitors treatment plans for patients.
  • Provides bio-psychosocial assessments and clinical diagnostic assessments.
  • Conducts individual psychotherapy and counseling services to children within public schools.
  • Maintains skills and knowledge in clinical theory and practice to help patients overcome dependencies, adjust to life, and make changes.
  • Provides counseling to family members to assist with understanding and supporting patients. 
  • Engages in crisis intervention when necessary and refers patients or family to community resources. 
  • Provides consultation to medical providers. Collaborates with physicians to develop and implement treatment and intervention programs. 
  • Participates in clinical team meetings.

Starting Compensation:  

Minimum $72,000 per year; Maximum $80,000 per year

 

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:

Onsite, Bronx, NY, Shifts fall between Mondays and Saturdays (5 shifts per week).
