Job Description

Position Summary
GTI Energy is seeking a proactive and experienced Buyer II to support procurement operations at our Goodyear, AZ location. This mid-level role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of materials, components, and services required for production and operations. The Buyer II will ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with company standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Review and process purchase requisitions to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services in support of production and operations.
Source suppliers, solicit quotes, and evaluate bids based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, and conditions with vendors while maintaining positive relationships.
Monitor order status, expedite late deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies related to pricing, quantity, or quality.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier performance, and contract terms.
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance to align procurement activities with organizational needs.
Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, ISO standards, and customer requirements.
Participate in supplier audits and evaluations.
Use ERP (e.g., Epicor or similar) system to manage procurement activities and inventory data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
3–5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficient in ERP systems (Epicor experience preferred).
Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Certifications:
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar procurement certification.
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
