Job Description

The Artist will concept, design, and create 3D & 2D character models, rigs, and animations for FEI original productions, as well as create 3D and 2D animated motion graphics for live event LED displays, corporate videos, social and digital content. The artist is capable of sketching concepts to implementation of computer-generated concepts.  Utilizes 3D and 2D resources to expedite projects but also has the creative vision and skill set to completely design original concepts that meet or exceed producer's direction. Must be able to take direction, receive constructive creative feedback, and be able to work within a fast-paced team environment. 

Essential Job Functions

• Concept, storyboard, model, rig, and animate a variety of short-form narrative animated content with the skillset to create expressive character animations portraying a wide range of emotions.
• Model, rig, and animate high-quality, expressive, unique characters using Maya or C4D.
• Design and produce 3D/2D motion graphics for broadcast television, high-volume video services, and live event graphics for all FEI properties.
• Present fresh and creative ideas, while working efficiently and cohesively as part of the department.
• Create LED ribbon board images to venue specifications.
• Work simultaneously on 5+ projects based on event needs and timelines.
• The ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Job Qualifications

• BA in Animation, Film, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred, or 5+ years of professional experience.
• Expert in Maya 3D or Cinema 4D.
• Proficient in tracking and compositing in Adobe After Effects.
• Expert skills in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong sense of design and typography.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills.
• Creative thinker with strong work ethic.
• Ability to work on PC Platforms.
• Experience in project management software like SmartSheet, Workfront, or Microsoft Teams.
• Understanding of Rundown software.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Experience in 2D (vector) character animations (preferred, not required).
• Experienced in After Effects puppet-style animation and Toon Boom Harmony (preferred, not required).
• Must provide portfolio/reel link with application for consideration

International Touring Personnel
