We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join one of our trusted clients in the construction industry and support the financial management of our growing operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background, attention to detail, and experience in construction industry accounting.

Responsibilities For Accountant:

• Utilize Sage 100 Software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word for daily accounting functions

• Perform job and project construction accounting, including cost allocation and revenue tracking

• Manage billing and revenue recognition processes

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable

• Process payroll and allocate labor costs to projects

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reporting for management review

• Perform general ledger maintenance and reconcile accounts

• Conduct monthly bank account reconciliations

• Track and manage cash balances to ensure financial stability

• Complete monthly financial statement closings

• Handle quarterly payroll tax reporting and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

• File and process monthly gross receipts tax reports

Qualifications For Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry

• Proficiency with Sage 100 Software, Excel, and Word

• Strong understanding of job cost accounting, billing, and project-based financials

• Knowledge of GAAP, payroll processing, and tax reporting

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with project managers and leadership

Compensation For Accountant:

$26-$28 Hourly (DOE)
